Stage five of seven

Own what produces.

Income is what you receive. Ownership is what remains when the income stops. The stage exists because most people never make the conversion.

Ownership over consumption

The old status system rewards visible spending. The Earner system rewards productive assets: equipment that earns, property that houses or produces, equity in a firm, intellectual property, and a book of customers.

Federal Reserve data show the White-Black median wealth gap exceeded $220,000 in 2022. Personal discipline alone does not remove structural barriers, and no honest programme should claim otherwise. Ownership is still the lever an individual household can actually pull.

Shared and collective forms

Community land trusts and shared-equity models can support stability and local control when governance and financing are sound. Those two conditions are not optional. Pooled money and property have to be governed professionally or they become a liability to the people they were meant to serve.

Succession

An asset with no named successor is a temporary asset. Ownership is not complete until someone is being taught to hold it after you.
