Seven stages

The Path

Reset. Learn. Earn. Systemize. Own. Steward. Build the City.

The stages are sequential because each one depends on the last. You cannot systemize work you have not done, and you cannot steward an asset you do not own.

Stage 1

Reset

Correct what you believe about money, status, and work. Take an honest inventory.

Stage 2

Learn

Build a skill tied to real demand. Paid apprenticeship and work-connected learning beat certificates with no job attached.

Stage 3

Earn

Convert the skill into lawful income. First income is a milestone worth recording.

Stage 4

Systemize

Turn repeated work into a system someone else could run. This is where a job becomes a business.

Stage 5

Own

Convert income into productive assets. Ownership is what remains when income stops.

Stage 6

Steward

Govern what you hold. Protect it, insure it, account for it, and teach a successor.

Stage 7

Build the City

Contribute capacity back to a place. Institutions outlive the people who start them.
